Denise Martin and Jim Kerr

Denise Martin is a concertina player, and Jim Kerr is a backup guitar player. They attend Irish sessions in Anchorage on a regular basis with many of the local regulars.

Beginner's Irish Session

(1 hour)

Slow session. We will teach a few simple tunes (traditional Irish), or share ones you like in a supportive and fun environment. This is not a technique class, but you can learn what an Irish session is all about. We prefer that you have some knowledge of a traditional Irish music instrument. By "tunes" we mean melodies played on an instrument (not singing, in other words).
